A wise grandmother teaches two fighting brothers the strength of unity.
बूढी आमाको धेरै चाउरी परेको थियो, तर उनका आँखाहरू कथाहरूले भरिएका थिए। बच्चाहरू उनको कुरा सुन्न मन पराउँथे।
Old Aama had many wrinkles, but her eyes were full of stories. Children loved to listen to her.
दुई दाजुभाइ एउटा खेलौनाको लागि झगडा गर्दै थिए। आमाले उनीहरूलाई बोलाइन्। 'यो लठ्ठी हो,' उनले भनिन्। 'यसलाई भाँच।'
Two brothers were fighting over a toy. Aama called them. 'Here is a stick,' she said. 'Break it.'
तिनीहरूले सजिलै भाँचे। त्यसपछि उनले लठ्ठीहरूको मुठा दिइन्। 'यसलाई भाँच्ने कोसिस गर,' उनी मुस्कुराइन्।
They broke it easily. Then she gave them a bundle of sticks. 'Try to break this,' she smiled.
तिनीहरूले मुठा भाँच्न सकेनन्। 'एकतामा बल हुन्छ,' आमाले सिकाइन्।
They could not break the bundle. 'United we are strong,' Aama taught them.

एकता नै बल हो।
