A magical drum teaches a village thief a lesson about honesty.
एउटा सानो गाउँमा, एउटा जादुई मादल थियो। इमान्दार मान्छेले छुँदा मात्र यसबाट सुमधुर संगीत बज्थ्यो।
In a small village, there was a magical Madal (drum). It played beautiful music only when an honest person touched it.
एउटा चोरले मादल चोर्न खोज्यो। जब उसले छोयो, यसबाट ठूलो र डरलाग्दो आवाज आयो! 'झ्याङ! झ्याङ!'
A thief tried to steal the Madal. When he touched it, it made a loud, scary noise! 'Dhyang! Dhyang!'
गाउँलेहरू बिउँझिए र चोरलाई समाते। मादलले आफैंलाई बचायो।
The villagers woke up and caught the thief. The Madal had protected itself.
गाउँको मुखियाले मादल बजाए, र यसबाट मिठो धुन आयो। त्यस दिनदेखि सबैले इमान्दार हुने वाचा गरे।
The village chief played the Madal, and it sang a sweet melody. Everyone promised to be honest from that day on.

सत्यको आवाज मिठो हुन्छ, तर झूट कठोर हुन्छ।
