The Clever Jackal

एउटा स्याल जंगलमा हिंड्दै थियो। अचानक ऊ रंगीनको भाँडोमा खस्यो।

A jackal was wandering in the jungle. Suddenly, he fell into a vat of blue dye.

ऊ निलो भयो। जंगलका सबै जनावरहरूले उसलाई चिनेनन्। स्याल भन्यो, 'म भगवानले पठाएको राजा हुँ।'

He turned blue. None of the animals in the jungle recognized him. The jackal said, 'I am a king sent by God.'

सबै जनावरहरूले उसलाई राजा मान्दै सेवा गरे। तर एक रात स्यालहरूले हुवा बोलाए।

All the animals served him as king. But one night, other jackals howled.

नीलो स्यालले पनि आफ्नो स्वभावले हुवा बोलायो। सबैले उसलाई चिने र खेदे। झूठ सधैं खुल्छ।

The blue jackal also howled instinctively. Everyone recognized him and chased him away. Lies are always revealed.
