The Blind Men and the Elephant

Six blind men touch different parts of an elephant and argue about what it is.
Six blind men met an elephant for the first time. They tried to know what the elephant was like by touching it.
The first touched the ear and said, 'It is like a winnowing fan.' The second touched the trunk and said, 'It is like a snake.'
The third held the leg and said, 'It is like a tree.' They started arguing.
A wise man explained, 'You are all right, but you only touched one part.' To know the whole truth, one must see everything.
