An unlikely friendship between an ant and a pigeon saves both their lives.
एउटा कमिला पानी पिउँदा नदीमा खस्यो। 'गुहार! गुहार!' ऊ करायो।
An ant fell into the river while drinking water. 'Help! Help!' it cried.
रुखमा बसेको एउटा परेवाले यो देख्यो। उसले पानीमा एउटा पात खसायो।
A pigeon sitting on a tree saw this. It dropped a leaf into the water.
कमिला पातमा चढ्यो र बच्यो। 'धन्यवाद, साथी,' कमिलाले भन्यो।
The ant climbed onto the leaf and was saved. 'Thank you, friend,' said the ant.
पछि, एउटा शिकारीले परेवालाई निशाना लगायो। कमिलाले शिकारीको खुट्टामा टोक्यो। शिकारीको निशाना चुक्यो, र परेवा उड्यो।
Later, a hunter aimed at the pigeon. The ant bit the hunter's foot. The hunter missed, and the pigeon flew away.
Moral of "The Ant and the Pigeon"
राम्रो गर्यो भने राम्रो हुन्छ।
