A competition between the Sun and the Wind to see who is stronger.
हावा र घामबीच बहस भयो। 'म तिमी भन्दा बलियो छु,' हावाले भन्यो।
The Wind and the Sun had an argument. 'I am stronger than you,' said the Wind.
तल बाटोमा एउटा मानिस कोट लगाएर हिँड्दै थियो। 'जसले उसको कोट फुकाल्न सक्छ, ऊ जित्छ,' घामले भन्यो।
A man was walking down the road wearing a coat. 'Whoever can make him take off his coat wins,' said the Sun.
हावा जोडले चल्यो। मानिसले कोट झन् कस्सियो। हावा हार्यो।
The Wind blew hard. The man held his coat tighter. The Wind lost.
घामले न्यानो किरण छर्यो। मानिसलाई गर्मी भयो र कोट फुकल्यो। नम्रतामा शक्ति हुन्छ।
The Sun shone warmly. The man felt hot and took off his coat. There is power in gentleness.
Moral of "The Sun and the Wind"
बल भन्दा नम्रता बलियो हुन्छ।
